basic rules of firearms (hand gun, or long gun) are:
all firearms as if they are LOADED. Until you have personally visually,
and physically inspected it yourself. TWICE.
point a firearm at what you intend to shoot. Keep the muzzle pointed
in a safe direction at all times.
your finger off the trigger, and outside the trigger guard, until
you are sure of your target, and you have made a decision to fire.
sure of your target, what is behind, or beyond your target before
you fire. You can never take it back, or do it over.
are no shortcuts to firearms safety, follow these basic rules, and
think Safety First.

Three Rules of Firearm Safety:
